This is how singer/songwriter Alexander Dolgov described the birth of this song:

“Suddenly, in the deep of the night there came a sound. It was a new sound. It was coming from afar, and then the roar was near, right above the roof. And then the night exploded. An enemy jet fighter firing a rocket. Then came silence. It was hard to fall asleep, because all the senses were suddenly awake. However, the mind was not fully awake, it was drifting between sleep and alertness in some kind of twilight zone. That’s when unexpectedly out of nowhere a line came: Bring back silence to the sky. And so a song was born.

“This song reflects the inverted reality in which silence becomes almost a luxury. The roar of a jet fighter becomes the reality which used to be unthinkable, but now is quite commonplace.

“Bring Back Silence to the Sky is a little sad, but hopeful message to the world to stop the madness and give people a chance to breathe and the silence to be able to hear the breathing.”

Recording took place in Kharkiv, Ukraine in April-May 2022. Mixing was made in Ukraine by Valery Sazonov, mastering by Dave Harris at Studio B Mastering in Charlotte, NC, USA.
